FK Restore™ Functional Keratin^®

The hero ingredient across our range, this naturally-derived cosmeceutical uses unique New Zealand technology to extract keratin from the wool of shorn sheep. This ingredient, which is remarkably 91% identical to human hair, replaces the keratin naturally lost over time, repairing the structure of hair to create stronger, healthier hair.

Expert Tip: Use our Glow Lab Mask once a week to supplement your usual haircare regime. It will boost the health of your hair, while adding extra protection and strength. Leave on for 20 minutes or up to an hour to maximise the goodies inside this mask. Or, leave it on overnight, and wash out the next day for extra protection.

Betaine (Sugar Beet Extract)

100% natural, this ingredient provides super-quenching properties to increase the moisture levels in your hair. Hydrated hair = healthy, strong hair, so it’s worth tackling dehydration for the long-term condition of your hair. That’s why we’ve formulated Betaine into all of our Glow Lab shampoos and conditioners.

Expert Tip: Wash your hair like a pro! Lather twice – once to cleanse hair and the second time to give the ingredients time to nourish your hair. Don’t use water that’s too hot, and take time to massage your scalp with your fingertips while shampooing to increase circulation and the health of your scalp.

Rice Tein NPNF™

Naturally derived from rice protein, this clinically-proven ingredient is your go-to if you want to create fuller and thicker hair. It’s a core ingredient in our Volumising products, delivering not only volume, but nourishment, damage-repair and more manageable hair.

Proven to: Increase the volume of hair by up to 32% after 5 treatments

Expert tip: Excessive blow-drying or tight ponytails can put a strain on hair, so give your hair a break with a looser hairstyle, and avoid using hairdryers or irons whenever you can.

Floraesters

Like all our shampoos and conditioners, our Colour Protect range is designed to use as a pair. We use scientifically-proven Floraesters in this range which work together to maintain the vibrancy of your natural or salon-inspired hues. Our Floraesters are derived from Jojoba using sustainable, eco-friendly technology and also provide hydration and strength to the hair.

Expert tip: If you’re colouring your hair, make sure to schedule in regular haircuts too. Coloured hair is more prone to damage, so regular trims will take care of any split ends or breakages which can result from colour processing.                                              

Beraca Biobehenic™

Sustainably derived from the seeds of the Amazonian Pracaxi tree, which contain high levels of naturally-occurring behenic acid, a natural hair detangler which also increases the shine and strength of hair. For these benefits, plus the silky feel that Beraca Biobehenic™ delivers, we’ve blended it across our shampoos and conditioners.

Expert tip: Hair is vulnerable to damage when it’s wet, so squeeze excess water out first, then gently towel dry.

Lipex SheaLight™ and Lipex SheaLiquid™

Derived from natural Shea Butter, these clinically-proven ingredients are ideal for dry or curly hair. They moisturise hair, without weighing it down, and make hair feel softer and more lustrous.

Found in: Glow Lab Leave-In Conditioner

Expert tip: As well as applying before you style your hair, you can also apply Leave-In Conditioner just before you go to bed and leave it on overnight to create softer hair. Focus the product on the mid-length and ends of your hair to get the most out of it – your roots don’t need it as much.
